Apartment Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, a furnished living/dining room, at least one bathroom and several bedrooms. Resident Life offers apartments at apartments in North Hill, South Hill and in the communities of Leonardtown. Students who live in on-campus housing do not need to maintain a diet, but many have still chosen to have some kind of diet to keep it for comfortable purposes. Garden-style apartments for about 350 students are in the Leonardtown community, behind Fraternity Row, and about a 10-12 minute walk to most classes. The apartments for an additional 350 students are located in the South Hill community, near the Chapel and South Campus Dining Hall. The apartments for 100 students in the language-residence home apprenticeship program are located in St. Mary`s Hall. Apartment, Suite, Semi-Suite Shop and Select This is the selection phase of spaces where students interested in a task for 2020-2021 in an apartment, suite or semi-suite can buy and select this type of task, either as an individual or with a group. Group leader The group leader is the person in the group who should have the earliest selection date and who is responsible for the selection of tasks during the space selection process. Members of the “group members” work with the “group leader” to determine the appropriate space for selection and assignment when the “group leader” makes the final selection. Accommodation Allowance Expenses related to residential accommodation.
All rooms have a related fee depending on the amenities and the number of occupants in the room. The selections made during the selection of the rooms require the student to live and eat throughout the academic year (unless they are assigned to an apartment). Hold during the “Shop and Select” sections of the space selection, a person or group can place a place on “Hold” for a short period of time (about 5 minutes) to find out if they want to make their final choice. After the Hold period, space will be available again. Selection Date The “selection date” is the first and specific date of a resident who begins to “buy and select” premises in different types of residences. Semi-Suite A half-suite consists of two double bedrooms that share a common bathroom between the living rooms. Four students live in semi-suites and are located in Oakland Hall and Prince Frederick Hall. As the semi-suites do not have individual kitchens, it is forbidden to cook in these units and all residents are required to participate in an approved meal plan. The suites look like apartments, but without a kitchen or dining room.
